As a homeowner, you can enjoy huge savings on your monthly electricity bill by installing a solar power system on your home. Plus, with the help of government incentives and rebates, as well as Lamb Energy's various financing options, going solar is easier than you think
How Does Solar Work?
A residential solar power system's primary components include solar panels, an inverter, racking, and wiring. When put together, these parts create your solar power system! The solar panels take the sunlight that hits them and turns it into electricity. The inverter then takes that electricity and converts it into energy that your household's various appliances can use. The amount of energy that you produce is monitored, and the energy that you do no immediately use is sent to your utility company. However, you will be credited for that energy so that you can use it at a later time when you are using more energy than your solar solution is producing (such as at night). This process is called net metering. Learn more about the various elements of solar by visiting our solar glossary.
